Jennifer Deere Morgan, 55, a beloved mother, “Mimi,” and cherished friend to many, passed away on June 3rd , 2026. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends by her side when she peacefully entered the loving arms of Jesus.
Born in Houston and raised in Lake Jackson, Jennifer graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1989. During these formative years, she built some of the dearest friendships of her life—relationships she cherished and maintained for decades.
Jennifer's natural compassion, kindness, and nurturing spirit guided both her personal and professional life. She dedicated her career to serving others through various roles in the medical field before finding her professional home at Texas Children's Hospital, where she worked for many years. Caring for those in need and offering comfort to others were woven into the very fabric of who she was, and her generosity of heart touched countless lives.
She is survived by her three beloved children: Ashlyn and her husband Joe; Zach his longtime partner, Morgan; Sebastian and his fiancée, Caitlin. She is also survived by her three cherished grandchildren, Jerry, Jenny, and Joseph who brought her endless joy, her devoted sister and steadfast companion, Mollie, and Mollie’s husband, Spencer; and her beloved niece, Clementine.
She was preceded in death by Jerald Deere, Carol Grulich, and Kathy Rafferty, grandparents; A.T Deere and Jimmie Catherine Deere, and her Aunt Joy Deere. She also carried in her heart the memory of her lung donor, Brandon, whose extraordinary gift of life in 2014 gave her many cherished years with her family and friends.
Jennifer always found joy in life’s simple moments, and in that spirit, we invite you to wear something bright or colorful instead of black. She wanted this gathering to be a true celebration of her life and the happiness she brought to others.
Jennifer will be remembered for her unwavering fighting spirit, her warmth, and a smile that remained constant even through life’s most difficult moments. Above all else, she was deeply devoted to her children and took immense pride in each of their lives—her daughter, Ashlyn, becoming a transplant nurse; her son, Zach, working in the professional sports industry; and her youngest, Sebastian, who is recently engaged and embarking on a new chapter of his life.
Her love extended beyond her family to her beloved animals—Baylor, Belle, Kiki, and Cooper—who brought her comfort and joy throughout her life.
Jennifer treasured her friendships and made it a priority to stay closely connected with those she loved. She enjoyed sharing meals, keeping up with life happenings, and hosting cherished “girl nights” filled with laughter, pampering, and great food. She also found great joy in simple pleasures, from exploring new local restaurants to cheering on her granddaughter, Jenny, at softball games—always making sure the coach wasn’t too hard on the team—and proudly watching her grandson, Jerry, perform in band concerts.
Known as a steady source of support, Jennifer was a compassionate listener who offered honest, heartfelt advice. Her family and friends knew they could always count on her, and she showed up for them in every way she could. Her love, loyalty, and presence will remain deeply missed and forever remembered.
