I was saddened recently to hear that Jim McDevitt had died.
Jim McDevitt was a kind and caring man. A few years back, following the death of my own parents, I found myself in need of some accounting advice. Another of Jim’s friends had referred me to him.
From the first day we met Jim seemed glad to take some of the weight from my shoulders. The more we met to discuss business, the more time we seemed to spend talking about each other’s lives and families. Jim spoke highly about his “off spring”, and it was clear that he was quite proud of them.
I know that Jim’s family will miss his presence. I offer my condolences to all of them, and I would like to add my name to the long list of folks who were fortunate enough to meet, work with, and know Jim McDevitt.
