John Wayne Bonin, 72, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on August 17, 2017 in his home.
At his request, no funeral service will be held. The family will host a Celebration of Life at his residence on Saturday, August 26th from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Please share your stories and pictures of John with the family.
John was born in Pasadena TX to J.W. and Edrena (Sanders) Bonin on January 30, 1945. He went to high school at Pasadena High School and then went on to serve in the United States Navy.
John was very crafty with his hands and worked many years as a mechanical engineer for various hotels. He recently retired from Bayshore Medical Center where he had worked for over 20 years.
John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping for all his life. He loved to eat at the local Waffle House and frequented there often for well over 50 years. He was friendly with and knew many local police officers from the Pasadena Police Department.
John is survived by his daughter, KathyJo Bonin Pimentel and husband Timothy, his two loving grandchildren, Brittany Paulus and Alexander Pimentel; his sister, Joyce O’Neill and husband Bob, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends who played very important roles in his life. John is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Bonin, Edrena (Sanders) Peer and siblings, Bobby Jo Bonin, Howard Tooke and Barbara (Tooke) DeForest.
