

Josephine grew up in Smith Edition area. She married Paul R. Garza in 1946, in Houston, Tx. They were happily married for 45 years until she widowed. She worked at Queen Oaks Cleaners for 15 years inPasadena,Tx, until her injury forced her into retirement. After her retirement she became a housewife and assisted her children in babysitting her grandchildren. Her grandchildren have numerous memories of trips to Galveston for fishing, San Jacinto Monument for crabbing, trips to the parks, etc. Her grandchildren were always happy when their grandmother would cook for them. The best part of the day is when the school bell would ring, grandma was there to pick them up and do whatever she had planned for the remaining of the day. Her great grandchildren remember all her jokes.
Josephine was preceeded in death by her parents Jose & Aurora Montoya, her brother Edward Montoya, her sisters Rosie M. Gutierrez, Christine M. Garcia.
Josephine is survived by her seven kids, David Garza Sr, Pauline G. Rangel, Yerlinda G. Garcia, Elsie M. Garza, Octaviano (Tiny) Garza, Sonia M. Garza & Joe R. Garza. She leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, & 2 great great grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by everyone. The memories she created will last with everybody forever. Everybody has their each individual story.
Services will be as follow: Visitation on Sunday December 8, 2013 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX. Funeral Service will be on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 10:30am at Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale. Burial will follow.
