Joyce Gholson

Joyce Clausen Gholson – passed away on Sunday evening, March 5th after a long battle with Crones disease and other complications. She was born May 9, 1940 in Houston, Texas, to Al and Velma Clausen. She married the love of her life, Sam Gholson on August 8, 1958 and had 2 children, Sam Gholson, Jr. and Megan Elaine Gholson. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano and organ, & playing dominoes and cards (and visiting her high school friend Gloria Dupuy.) She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam and is survived by her son Sammy and wife Vanessa, and their daughters Tiffany Gholson and Brittany and husband Cliff Lee and great grandson Colton; her daughter Megan and husband Tony Cain and daughter Allison Marie; sister Alice Layton, from Dayton, and brother Al Clausen, Jr. and wife Vickie from Virginia, nieces & nephews.

The funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 7th at 1:30pm at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 824 Main St., Pasadena, Tx. A reception will follow at the church.
