

Joyce spent her career in the service industry, working at the House of Pies and Avalon Diner in Houston, Texas. She was known for her love of cooking and her passion for waiting on people as a waitress.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her family, including her mother Gertie B. Nauls, her son Ladawn D Nauls, also known as Don, her sisters Juanita Johnson, Jeanette Smith, and LaWanda Johnson, her brother-in-law Stanley Smith, her brother-in-law Boris Johnson, her nephew Dezra Nauls, her nieces Traci Fuller and Kimberly Qrais, and Ahmad Qrais, and other beloved family members, including her aunt Mable Jackson and uncle Ardis Hall.
She was preceded in death by her father George Nauls, her brothers Lawrence Nauls, Vernon Nauls, and Willie Nauls and her sister Yvonne Tucker.
Joyce's life was guided by her faith, as reflected in her favorite prayer, The Lord's Prayer:
"Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen."
Joyce Ann Nauls's memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
