Julie Anne Anderson

On March 10, 2022, Julie Anne Anderson did not wake up at her rehab home in LaPorte, Texas. Rather, she departed to Heaven above, in search of her cherished mom, Darlene Anderson, and her Lord Jesus Christ.

Julie was born at St. Mary's Infirmary in Galveston, Texas on February 28, 1957 to Vic and Darlene (Palmer) Anderson. Her earliest years were spent in Hitchcock & San Antonio, Texas and Frankfort, Germany. She grew up in Pasadena, Texas. She graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1975. Then she attended San Jacinto Junior College in Pasadena. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church as a child and First United Methodist Church of Pasadena during her adult years.

Julie was taught to play the piano at an early age, and later, the organ, when she and her stepdad took classes together; she enjoyed both. She dabbled in ceramics and liked to paint by number, especially on velvet. Julie really loved cooking (She had all the special cookery such as an omelet pan, a wok, a crepe maker etc. ) She also loved going out to eat with her mom & sister, and friends. She saw the world, traveling to Time Shares with her mom and stepdad- They visited Wally's relatives in Minnesota and Dawson Creek & Kamloops in Canada and Darlene's brother and Julie's uncle Merrell & aunt Clara in North Carolina. Julie's sister, Laurie, went with them to Sedona. Julie, Darlene, and Wally saw the Vatican in Rome and also toured Europe via the Rhine and Danube Rivers (sister included). They cruised to several places via ship, as well. Most importantly, they made it to Israel.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Darlene Anderson, whom we lost in August 2020 during the fiasco and confusion of the Covid lockdown, by her long deceased, yet never forgotten father, Victor Alton (Vic) Anderson, her stepdad, Walter (Wally) Raedeke, her grandmother and grandfather, Mildred Barnes and Weldon Rupert (Roxy) Barnes, her granny, Gertrude Crum Anderson, her sister-in-law, Marilyn Anderson, and many beloved Anderson & Littleton aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her "sis", Laurie Bennett of Pasadena, Texas and her brother Mark Anderson of Leander, Texas, her nephew, Eric Anderson (Colleen) of Leander, Texas and her niece, Mandie Wheeler (Mark) of Pflugerville, Texas, her great nieces, Reese Anderson, Anna Anderson, Micah Anderson and Zoe Wheeler and her great nephews, Isaac Anderson and Jachin Anderson, her Uncle Merrell Palmer (Clara) of Wilmington, NC and her cousins, Jimmy Littleton (Christy) and baby Beckett of Friendswood, Texas. Julie loved her dog niece, Little Girl, dearly, and enjoyed her visits to the rehab center. She adored her cat nephews and nieces too, chiefly, "the boys". Julie's best friend since childhood, Teresa Bridges, and her mother, Catherine, survive Julie and Darlene in Houston, Texas. Fridays at Shear Delight have not been the same without Darlene and Julie strolling in, yet they carry on with their memories. And her most recent friends and caregivers at Sylvan Shores and Fresenius Kidney Care, continue on despite the obvious absence of Julie's forever inquiries and laughter. Her sweet, caring, cheerful demeanor and her quirky conversation, will be missed by everyone. Julie's sister will miss her most of all.

A memorial visitation for Julie will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 12 noon to 1:00 PM and the service is at 1:00 PM at Pasadena Funeral Home , 2203 Pasadena Blvd. in Pasadena, Texas 77502. Interment will be at Hayes Grace Cemetery in Hitchcock.
