Lillian Fults Perkins of Galena Park, TX, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born in Pineland, TX in the heart of the Piney Woods of East Texas on October 10, 1934 to John Alexander and Syble Lee Fults. She graduated Valedictorian of Brookland High School and attended Stephen F. Austin University.
She was married to her husband, Paul R. Perkins, Jr. for 57 ½ years. They moved to Galena Park, TX in 1957 where they raised their three children, Ann, Gail and Robert. They were long-time members of First Baptist Church of Galena Park. She was an active member of Adult 6 & 7 Dept, and the Galena Park Fun Club seniors group.
Lillian was employed by Reliance Universal Inc. (Hempel Coatings USA) for over 30 years and was administrative secretary to seven different presidents over the years. She retired in 1994.
Lillian and Paul loved to travel, taking trips in the U.S. and Europe. Her greatest joy was family and the fun times they had together. She loved nature and the outdoors, loved to camp at state parks and had many loving memories of Garner State Park camping with family and her beloved grandchildren. She still pulled her little trailer into her late 80s.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Landon Fults, husband Paul R. Perkins Jr. in 2007, and son Robert Henry Perkins in 2017. She is survived by two daughters: Ann Perkins Cloud (husband Steve) Pasadena, TX, Gail Perkins Gonsoulin (husband Mark) LaMarque, TX, Daughter-in-law Frances Jean Perkins, Pasadena, TX. She was known as “Munner” to her pride and joy, her five beloved grandchildren: Nikki Dispensa (husband Tim), Grant Gonsoulin (wife JoAnna); Meredith Johnson, Samantha Perkins, Chance Perkins (wife Allison), and eight cherished “Greats”, MG Dispensa, Edie Dispensa, Theo Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Jacob Perkins, Allister Perkins, Jamison Perkins, Ezra Gonsoulin, nieces, nephew and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 10 AM and Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Galena Park, 1501 First Street, Galena Park, TX, with Reverand Marcos Ramos officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
