Maria Josefina Tovar

Maria Josefina Tovar, 68, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2024 surrounded by her husband and children.Born on June 18th, 1956, in Ciudad Juarez Mexico, to Hipolito and Benita Leija, Maria dedicated her life to her family and faith. She was a beloved wife to Carlos Tovar, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage, and a devoted mother and grandmother. A woman of deep Catholic faith, Maria was always present for those in need, offering her love, support, and care.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hipolito and Benita Leija. Maria’s memory lives on through her husband, Carlos Tovar; her children, Jorge Tovar, Liseth Rocha, and Daisy Tovar; and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Tovar, Hailey Tovar, Dylan Tovar, Celeste Garcia, Jay Garcia, Jay Rocha, and Gabriel Rocha.

Maria will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, Texas 77502, followed by a rosary at 6:30 PM.
