Mary Dale Jones

Mary Dale Jones 86 of La Porte passed away February 8th, 2025. She was born in Houston, TX on September 30th, 1938, to Dail Cagel Blue and Mary Alice Blue. She was married to Gene F. Placker for 20 years. Mary had a career in nursing for Dr. Ward, and in real estate for REMAX, and worked for Brown and Root construction company. She had a passion for music and helping people from all walks of life.

Mary was preceded in death by parents D.C. Blue and Mary Alice Blue. Husband Gene F Placker. Sister Sharon Weeks. Brother -in-laws Emery Preston, and Bill Herrington.

She is survived by three sons: Carl Placker and wife Tammy, Gene F Placker II, and Mark Placker and wife Juana Placker. Step-children; Janet and Kevin Alsobrooks, Charlotte and husband Richard Morse, Brian and wife Missy Warman, Sandi and Bryan Burns. Four sisters; Darlene Preston, Theresa Benson, Diane Herrington, and Carlene Preston. Grand Children; Crystal Placker and Willie Lee, Carla Placker, Gene W. and wife Mary Placker, Brittany Placker, Kaydin S. Placker, April Placker, Cassie Shaw and Raylond Lewis, Johnathon and wife Susan Alsobrooks, Seth and wife Liz Alsobrooks, Brandon and wife Stephanie Alsobrooks, Austin, Morse, Chase and wife Ashley Morse, Shelby Warman, Sheldon Morse, Shane and wife Jennifer Warman, Heather Burns. Great Grandchildren; William King Davis, Saroya Lee, Quentin Castille, Jaxson Castille, Keirstan Fuller, Konner Marsh, Asher Johnson, Nova Jade Lewis, Mikaela Alsobrooks, Layla Alsobrooks, Tyler Alsobrooks, Makensely, Alsobrooks, Colt Alsobrooks, Cheyenne Alsobrooks, Abel Morse, Aria Morse, Tydus Morse,Skyler Morse, Arwyn Morse, Skyler Warman, Jonah Warman, Jayden Warman, Landy Burns, Paige Burns, and RJ Burns. Great-great grandchild, Kameron Randall, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mary will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77502.
