Mary Katherine Washburn Reitz passed away peacefully September 28, 2016. Mary was a native Houstonian. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Floyd, whom she met while attending Rice. “Grandmary” leaves behind a loving family; a son, Rick Reitz and wife Pam, a daughter, Linda and husband Jim. She adored her four grandchildren, Kristin Finley, Sarah Reitz, Kevin Epps and wife Amber, and Ryan Epps and wife Kristin, and her five great-grandchildren. A devout Episcopalian, Mary enjoyed golf, tennis, fishing, traveling, entertaining, playing bridge and poker, and spending quality time in New Braunfels with family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, Oct 3 6:00-8:00pm at The St. James, 5555 Del Monte Houston TX 77056. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of St. John The Divine, 2450 River Oaks Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Houston Hospice.
