Mary Jane Sanchez, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away June 22, 2025. She was born in Richmond, Texas on May 18, 1943 to Hortenina C. Martinez and Sophie Alonzo. She was married to Simon Sanchez Sr. for 20+ years.
Mary Jane had a career in the food industry working for Monterrey House and for Time Warner. She had a passion for reading her bible.
She was preceded in death by her father Hortenina C. Martinez, mother Sophie Alonzo, sister Patsy Cortez, and brothers Gilbert Cortez and Ernest Cortez Jr.
She is survived by daughters Carolyn Sanchez, Esperansa Sanchez, Mary Magdalena Sanchez, son Simon Sanchez Jr., brother Michael Cortez, 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, located at 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77502, on June 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
