Mateo Hernandez, 90 of Houston, Texas passed away at his home on Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was born September 21, 1927 in Jourdanton, Texas to Martin and Mary (Benavides) Hernandez. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Jane Hernandez and Cynthia Faith Hernandez; brothers, Doroteo Hernandez, Fabian Hernandez, Bartolo Hernandez and Martin Z. Hernandez, Jr;. sisters, Katherine Ballard, Modestra Arbaiza and Mary Linda Hernandez; grandchildren, Jose E. Hernandez, David Colunga, Anthony Villareal; great-grandchildren, Jayla Lopez, David Colunga, Jr., Asiah Villareal, Avina Villareal, Avery Hernandez and Mateo Hernandez.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Pallbearers will be Joe Hernandez, Anthony Villareal, Andrea Villareal, Carlos Gonzales, Jr. and Robert Torres.
