

Morris was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was raised in Pasadena, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring at the distinguished rank of E8, Chief Petty Officer. Following his military service, he continued his professional journey in hotel management, where he was known for his leadership and strong work ethic.
Morris was a devoted man of faith who loved the Lord wholeheartedly. He spent his life growing in his relationship with God, sharing the gospel, and living out his faith daily. His spiritual strength and example left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He was known for his love of golf, his enthusiasm as an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys, most importantly, his deep love for his family. Time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was something he treasured greatly.
Morris will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Masako Holder; his daughters, Sandra English and Mary Carrillo and her husband, Manuel Carrillo; as well as his 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Holder; his father, Billy Morris Holder; his sister, Mary J. Holder; and his granddaughter, Madison English.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4202 Yellowstone Drive, Pasadena, Texas 77504, on April 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. A light reception will follow for fellowship.
