Padrino Oscar: Since moving from Monterrey to Houston it has difficult for me not to have close my parents, but God has blessed me greatly with the time We spent together with you, my Godmother Rachel and of course your beautiful family. On of the moments that I will not forget is when you were speaking in English to Mike to make him feel comfortable, sharing your stories and jokes, making sure that We were not missing anything at every party or gathering. You even took me to my daughter’s first graduation, what a blessing! You were always there for us as well as my Godmother Rachel and that has touched my heart forever. My Parents and us will miss you so much but We trust in God that you are in His Divine Glory.

Our Condolences to Rachel,Oscar Jr. , Alex, and Becky. Oscar will be missed very much!
Oscar and I spent many years working together in the construction field since the late 1970’s. We spent many hours together both on and off the job including travel related for work. We had many conversations related to our families and were very close. Oscar was always their when I needed a friend. Too many good memories to mention but will say that it was always a pleasure to spend time with him and joking around and picking on each other was always a part of our conversations.
My cousin Oscar I will keep the memories forever.  Rest In Peace and and God Bless the entire Gonzalez family!

Our most sincere condolences to the Gonzalez family. Oscar will always be remembered by us for being a very caring and generous person. His firm handshake, his love towards God and his family, especially his loving wife Rachel, truly defines who he was. I will always remember him as a great man, a great father to his kids always, but most importantly a great husband to Rachel. I remember my parents always excited when Oscar and the family would come down all the way to Elsa, Texas to visit us from Houston. Our beloved Oscar, he will forever be in our hearts and minds. Always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. Always making you feel welcomed. He opened his home to us when ours flooded during Harvey and we ended up staying with him, Rachel and Becky for about a year and a half. That year and a half was full of joy and laughter.  He never did, or said anything that made us feel that it was time to leave. We will miss his great sense of humor (always ready with a joke); not to mention his pollo asado, he loved to barbecue.

Se nos Adelantó en el camino, pero dejó tanto en el mismo.  Las pláticas que teníamos eran muy divertidas, ver los juegos de RAYADOS en ocasiones juntos fue lo mejor, y cuando no estábamos juntos usted me preguntaba, lo estas viendo? Como van ? Y se le decía que no lo estaba viendo por estar con los niños, usted me decía, ahorita yo lo checo y te aviso, y al minuto usted me daba el marcador. Era lo mejor.

Cuando venia a la casa a quedarse para ayudarle a Oscar, llegaba del trabajo y siempre se quería bañar primero, a veces no lo dejaba porque ya estaba el plato listo, y usted me platicaba todo lo del trabajo, con cada detalle y cada broma, compartíamos excelente tiempo en la mesa. Y usted me puso HR de Pure Grace. Nunca lo olvidaré.
Con mis niños Uffff.. un amor de grandpa tan bello y puro. Por todos preguntaba, y con todos pasaba tiempo, y aún grande mi Sophia, usted siempre se ofrecía para dejarla en las mañanas antes de irse a trabajar, Oscarito lo seguía tanto para jugar y Matias  balbuceando le platicaba a usted también.

Con mi esposo, un excelente Padre, siempre ayudandole tanto cuando se le cargaba el trabajo, en la casa a reparar o poner algo, en la yarda a cortarla porque casi no tenemos y en cada consejo su amor se manifestaba.

Yo no podría terminar de decir todo lo bueno que me dejó, pero le doy gracias a Dios por haberme bendecido con un suegro como usted. 
Lo Amo mucho suegro y siempre estará presente en nuestras vidas.

Our deepest condolences to the Gonzalez Family for this great loss.  Though my memories are those from childhood, I recall a loving family man with a beautiful family... May his memory live on through each and every one of you.  

I met Oscar a decade ago through his amazing daughter Becky, & knew early on that he was a quiet servant. Oscar loved the people around him not with his words, but with his actions. Every time I visited his home he was always asking me what he could do for me. One of my favorite memories of him is from when I came into Houston to surprise Becky for her bday & the second morning there I woke up after sleeping in late & Oscar asked me if I was hungry & then made me breakfast. Sharing a meal with him & Momma Rachel was a wonderful time. Then later at the party for Becky just watching how proud Oscar was of his baby girl was so special to see. He loved by doing things for the people around him. It’s a legacy that I will remember always. 

Well Dad , What can i say..
 I miss you so much as time continues to go on. Through your actions you have showed me what it is to truly be a loving , caring father to my Children as well as always being there for and loving my wife JUST as YOU were always there for mom and us when we needed you. You never hesitated to come over to help me whenever i needed assistance in my home projects. ( and there where A LOT of home projects). I can go on and on and on. Life is short and i am grateful that i was able to see you every day and every chance i had. You are my True hero here on earth and NOW you are in Heaven with my Lord and Savior. That is what gives me Joy and peace. You are gone , but Never Forgotten.

Brother Oscar, I will always remember you with a smile on your face, always cooking up something delicious and couldn't wait for us to sit down and enjoy. And we definitely did enjoy. You were the original master chef. I remember how you always were so proud of Oscar Jr, Alex and Becky and was always ready to tell us about their accomplishments. How you would greet us at the church with your imaginary knife or metal detector. How you were always serving in the house of God beautifying, repairing or protecting. Wow. Oscar will be greatly missed. He knew how to put a smile on anyone around him. He definitely put a smile on my face lots of times. Our conferences to Rachel and the entire family. We love y’all.

There are so many fond memories. We did many household projects together, helped out at the church but the most memorable moments was when we would go fishing. Oscar was a devoted husband, father, and to me the most amazing friend I could’ve asked for. You will truly be missed my brother.  We extend our love and support to the Gonzalez family. 

Bro. Oscar always had a way to put a smile on my face.  His love for God was apparent!  His love for people was like no other.  My hubby and I had the privilege of sitting around and talking to him a few weeks ago....there were plenty of laughs that day....I will cherish that forever.  His legacy will be carried on through his children and grand babies, and what a legacy!!!!  Bro. Oscar you’ll be greatly missed! I’ll always remember how Bro. Oscar and my grandpa were good friends. It was Bro Oscar that was saved first and being led by example, my grandpa gave his life to Christ too. Bro Oscar was a very respectable and kind man to many. He will be missed greatly. 

You may be gone but you will never be forgotten your legacy lives on in Zane & Sidny! It was Gods time to take you. 
Thank you for being a dad to me and a wonderful father in law! You left your hand print in my heart and everywhere I look. Praise God you are in heaven now rejoicing along side of all the angels.
