Raquel and I were best friends since 6th grade. Our personalities were totally opposite. She was very girlie , loved everything pink and anything that blinged and those are things I hated. Despite our differences  we could could talk on the phone for hours at a time. Over the years we would sometimes have months that would go by without talking to eachother. As soon as we would reconnect it was as if no time had passed. I believe that Raquel was/is my guardian angel. She would drag me to church when we were younger and eventually I gave my life to Christ. Thank you Raquel for never giving up on me and accepting me just as I was. Raquel always had trust in God and believed that he would work things out. I know now she is free of pain and disease and is rejoicing in heaven.  Raquel was a strong faithfull woman of God. She didn't spend every Sunday in church or know every scipture in the bible but she led by example. She stood strong in her faith when many would have given up. I am gratefull for the many years that I was able to be a part of her life and learn so much from her.  I pray that her family has peace in their hearts and know that she is watching over all.

Raquel was a dear cousin of ours. She was always joyful and full of life despite her illness. Raquel gave us more than we gave her. She always put others first before herself. I will miss her boisterous laugh and companionship. God bless you cousin and rest in peace. Love, LeRoy & Yolanda T.

Raquel was a wonderful friend and co worker, we worked together at Walmart for three years before she got sick.  Raquel had a very special zest for life and enjoyed life to the fullest.  I will always remember her in my prayers. my prayers and thoughts are with  her family  son (Justin) her mother (Judy) and her best friend (roger)   Darlene Foster
