I met Rico when I was in 8th grade at Bondy. I believe we had music class together. I remember he was always full of smiles and always telling jokes. He thought he was so funny coming in late to class lol. He would walk in with a big O grin! I remember that class we became friends. He was my partner in that class for anything because we would just mess around and talk. Then eventually my older brother Michael and Ashley met. That’s when we all became one big family. I will never forget at a family gathering I walked in and me and Rico just looked at each like wait a minute we went to school together. After that at family gatherings we would always take a minute to just talk to one another. Rico always checked on me just to see how I was doing. When I was pregnant with my daughter he always asked how things were going and always made sure I knew that I could do it and everything will be ok. “Don’t worry Jessica you will be good” he would always tell me. Eventually when my daughter was born he would always say she was pretty then tell my daughter “You sure that your momma, she ugly and your not” lol That was Rico right there constantly telling jokes and having that big grin!
Aaliyah and I will miss you Rico! ❤️

Met my mans freshman year in high school 1st day of school I’ll never forget lol...ever since that day we became best of friends I considered him my brother from another mother. Man so many unforgettable memories lol and I’ll forever hold them close to my heart. You were there for me at my lowest point...one thing I can say about rico was that he valued family and friends the most! He’ll never put no one above that no matter who you are. Solid genuine heart. And wise in his own way. Didn’t trust to many but his closest friends. Loyal to the tee! I can call him at any time if I needed him and he’ll be there whenever he could as I would do the same for him. We could always count on each other. He always told me when I get rich I got you bro don’t worry about it we gonna be good lol I know you were on the way bro!! My brother man I love him to death I can’t believe this happened...I know he telling me and everyone else who’s in pain to keep your head up. I love you bro. I’ll forever hold your name and all the memories in my heart. Watch over your family they need you right now provide them with strength and perseverance. See you later family. One love!!!

I remember meeting Rico in 6th grade at bondy/carter lomax. Rico was a giant back in the day. Everyone caught up to him tho by the time we all entered high school. Some things I’ll remember about Rico was he always had a smile on his face. He also cared deeply for his friends, and it always seemed like he knew everyone in every group. He was super friendly. He will be missed by many! After high school we talked every now and then but every time we saw each other it was like we never skipped a beat. Rico was family. I’m praying for everyone in the family.
My condolences

My story with Rico never really started and it never really ended. He was always just there, no matter how much time passed by we always picked up right where we left off every single time. I’m forever so saddened that I wasn’t able to get all the time I wanted with him, I needed more time with him. We all needed more time with him, we needed forever. I can’t thank God enough for allowing me to have lived in the same lifetime as him and for have been given the chance of knowing him. His beautiful contagious smile and laugh keep replaying in my head and it’s the most comforting yet heartbreaking thing ever, but it’s how i’ll remember him in this new forever after him. You could not have done a better job at raising such a wonderful man. Ricomar was golden, he was sunshine in human form. He shared his light with the whole world and that is why he is so deeply loved by many. I know there truly are no words at all that hold enough power or comfort during a time like this but from the bottom of my heart I truly hope you all heal beautifully and I hope you find some light during this dark time. I hope you guys feel him in the beautiful sun rays that kiss your skin on the sunniest days, may you think of him when you see those breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky so magically, may you find comfort when looking up at the sky on a clear starry night knowing he’s watching over you and still sharing his light with you. May his heart live within you all forever and may you always be reminded that he is with you at all times. I pray God keeps him safe in his new journey. Our hearts break with you all, we’ll forever keep his memory alive until we meet again. My deepest heartfelt condolences, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️

To many great memories to write
He was just a great person overall
He never judged me for any wrong I did
Even though I fell on hard times
He was still there even from a distance
He understood where my mind was
He always wanted me to find my way back to my better self
And I couldn’t do nothing more than love him for that

Rico,
I love you so much mijo and when we last spoke I told you we would see each other again soon. I would have never imagined it would have been like this. I wish I could have had more opportunities to have seen the young man you grew up to be. I was so proud to read all the post your friends and our family have made about you. Its inspiring how much joy you brought to everyone and all the amazing things you strived to become ... you see there is some Uncle Sammy in you we're both fighters. I love you and until we meet again.
Love you always,
Uncle Sammy
