He grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from South Houston High School where he loved performing in Musical Theatre. He was once able to travel and perform in a musical in New York with his classmates. We are all so very proud of him, and he was so grateful for that time in his life. Robert continued to perform in his later years at Art Park Theatre in Deer Park, Texas where he lived for the last 12 years. He loved performing, and his personality was larger than life. Robert loved everyone with his whole heart, and never met a stranger. He always there to help. His smile was so heartwarming. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Robert never married or had children, but was there for all of his nieces and nephews, and loved them as if they were his own. He enjoyed life to the fullest and also became an amazing cook– something we all appreciated. Robert was a hard worker who loved his job and his co-workers; and he will be very missed by all of us. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents Manuela M Zapata, Leonel P. Garza, and Viola Garza; his uncle Alejandro Zapata, and his aunts Sylvia Montalvo and Minerva Zapata. He is survived by his brothers Tony Garza (Estelle), Rick Garza, Timothy “Andy” Garza (Tammy) and Ben Loya (Areli); his sisters Tracie Garza-Perez (Santiago “Jim”), and Vanessa Garza; his nephews Anthony Garza, Christopher Peña, Matthew Peña, Lil Ricky Garza (Gillian), Jacob Perez (Amanda), Lorenzo Perez, and TJ; and his nieces Christina Garza, Alannah Blizzard (Austin), Jeannie Garza, Jessica Garza (Kris), Emily Perez, Alyssa Garza, Bianca Loya, and Sophia Loya; and many great nephews, nieces, and close friends who loved him dearly.
