Roberto (Bobby)G. Rodriguez, 56, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2019, at his home in Pasadena, Texas after a 14 month battle with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Bobby was born on November 6, 1962, in Kingsville, Texas to Ernesto and Gloria Rodriguez. His passing is preceded by his daughter, Marissa Renae Rodriguez. He is survived by his parents, his children Melanie Ann Rodriguez “Meli” and Roberto Rodriguez Jr. “Son”; brother Ernie Rodriguez and spouse David Shull; brother John Rodriguez and spouse Debbie; sister Lori Ratcliffe and spouse Sam “Sambo”; and sister Gloria Esther Hopkins and spouse Stephen “Steve-O”. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who he gave special nicknames: Aaron Christopher Patterson “Aaroney”, Haley Nicole Poche “Halo”, Miranda Katherine Rodriguez “Mira”, Samantha Rose Ratcliffe “Chitty Witty”, Cameron Nicholas Rodriguez “Cam” and Kaylee Grace Hopkins “Monkey”. He also had a grandson, Arturo Damien Gallegos “Trae”.

Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a devoted father, son, brother and uncle. He was referred to as Uncle Bob by his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed watching WWE on Tuesday nights, the Texans in the fall season, being at the flea market on the weekends and would never pass up a chance to grill! Bobby will be remembered for his big personality, his dance skills and his loyalty to his family and close friends.

Bobby was a big part of my life growing up in Houston and I am proud to call him family. My deepest condolences to my tio and tia and my cousins, who have showed me the meaning of family strength and stil show me love. You will be missed primo, gonna miss those grill pics you always posted on Facebook. Although I am far away you all are in hearts and prayers.

Bobby is family and someone I've known all my life he was amazing and loyal to his family every Easter we would see him and the family grow he was unique and I'm glad to call him family he would be there for anyone I will miss him so very much but knowing his not in any pain and is with the Lord helps
