Ruben was born on March 30th, 1971, to Ruben and Norma Ayala in Chicago Illinois and later at an early age moved to Pasadena TX with his family. After graduating from Sam Rayburn High School in 1989, Ruben went on to join the United States Marines and served his country for years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1994.
After his years of military service, he returned home with the dream of starting a family. He pursued a degree in accounting and worked as an accounting assistant for 5 years while starting his family. He then left this career and joined his father in his catering business and continued in the catering business for 15 years until his health forced him to retire.
Ruben was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He worked hard to provide for them and was unendingly proud of William, Jamie, and Vaylor and tried his best to support them.
A passionate sports fan, Ruben was an avid supporter of The Houston Texans and could often be found watching or catching up on the latest game. Beyond his own love of sports, he cherished watching his children participate in sports and other extracurricular activities, never missing a game, performance, or event.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Ruben knew he was the most loving father a family could ask for. He was predeceased by his father, Ruben Ayala Sr., and his son, Ruben Ayala III. He is survived by his son, Jaime Ayala; his daughter, Vaylor-Victoria Ayala; his stepson, William Galloway (Rae Galloway); his mother, Norma Ayala; his brother, Ernest Ayala (Audra Ayala); his nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Max and Coco.
The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Funeraria Del Angel. A funeral service and viewing will be held at 10:00 AM on February 13, 2025, at Funeraria Del Angel, 901 Main Street, Pasadena, TX 77506.
