

Rudy N. Trevino, 88, of Pasadena, TX passed away on July 31, 2015. He was born on September 23, 1926 in Stockdale, TX, and grew up in Floresville, TX. Rudy moved to Pasadena from San Antonio in 1976. He became a member of Blessed San Juan Diego Catholic Church where he remained an involved member for 39 years. Rudy had a passion for political activism. Not only was he active politically, but he also contributed his time and resources to help many people in need, he was the man to call for help. Rudy worked as a pipefitter and was a member of Local 211 Pipefitters Union. He and Maria Soccuro Trevino (lovingly know as “Chicken”) were married for 54 years until her death in 2012. Rudy loved dancing and singing with his “Chicken”. Their marriage was blessed, and Rudy was a devoted family man. He adored his grand children and loved spending time with them. Rudy also loved watching Western movies, but his all time favorite movie was “The Godfather”.
Rudy is survived by his children, Vangie (widowed), Victor (Cecilia), Rudy (Carrol), and Roman (Sandra); grandchildren, Bryan, Wayne, Victor, Melody, Oscar, Oscar, Becky, Felisia, Rudy, Jr., Alec, and Nick; numerous great grandchildren; and brothers, Felix and Raymondo; as well as many other family members and friends. He will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Pasadena Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will take place at San Juan Diego Catholic Church on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:00 am, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
