Susan Wille

Susie Jane Lee was born in Hoboken, Georgia on February 13, 1937, to Norman and Elsie Lee. She graduated from Hoboken High School in 1955 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida. In Jacksonville, she lived with her aunt and worked as a telephone operator. She met John Wille in Jacksonville while he was stationed there with the Navy. She married John Wille on November 29, 1957, and moved to Pasadena, Texas to start their family.

While her children were young, Susan was a dedicated homemaker focusing all her energy on her husband and three sons. She enjoyed supporting her sons in all their activities. She was especially great at helping them with their homework and instrumental in creating a strong work ethic that helped all three of them get college degrees. After her sons were older, she worked in the Pasadena Independent School District. Susan chose the school district so she would be off work when her sons were out of school and so she could work at the school one of her sons was currently attending, once again showing her priority was her family. She retired from the school district in 1995 and in that same year she and John had their retirement house built in the brand-new Pasadena Baywood Oaks subdivision.

In retirement, Susan was blessed with 2 grandchildren. Nobody could have ever been a happier grandmother. She loved attending all their activities and all the grandparent events at their schools while often having them spend the night. She and John were also active in the community during retirement serving as block captains in the Baywood Oaks subdivision.

Susan never quit being a great Mom even after her children and grandchildren were grown. She loved to cook dinners and desserts for her family and have them over often. She always had some leftovers and desserts ready anytime they wanted to visit, even if it was unplanned.

Susan enjoyed traveling, taking frequent trips with family and friends. She also enjoyed painting and sold several of her paintings at the Pasadena Townsquare Mall.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Elsie Lee , and her Sister Sina Hickox.

She is survived by her husband, John Wille of Pasadena, Texas, her son, Michael Wille and wife Dalael of LaPorte, Texas, son, Terry Wille of Pasadena, Texas, son Richard Wille of Pasadena, Texas, granddaughter Kristen Wille of Houston, Texas, and grandson Steven Wille of Pasadena, Texas.
