

William ("Bill") Jefferson Grant, Jr. passed away July 9, 2026 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Grant of Deer Park, Texas and Connie Lynne Grant of Lakewood, Colorado. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Emily (Zach) Swanson and two great grandsons, Zayden and Ryker Swanson, all of Lakewood, Colorado.
Bill was born in Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas February 26, 1935 to William Jefferson Grant, Sr. and Evie Mary Grant. He grew up in the Heights area and helped in the family dry cleaning business. After high school, he joined the Texas Air National Guard. He was a member of the 147th Fighter Interceptor group based at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston. He was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol-Texas Wing for 20 years. After 20 years of military service, he retired and worked for Texas International Airlines (now United Airlines). He eventually took over the family business, Grant Corsets, Inc., and was owner/operator serving The Texas Medical Center for over 20 years. He also served as a part time police officer and volunteer firefighter for the City of Southside Place. He and his family lived and served in the City of Southside Place for over 65 years. During these years he was also active in real estate investment and property management in the Houston area. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, flying, snow skiing, traveling, the Houston Symphony, working in his yard and spending time with friends and family.
