Yolanda R. Medina

Yolanda Ramirez Medina, of Houston, TX passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 in Clear Lake Regional after a long illness.Born in Houston, Texas June 27 1949 to Marcos and Carmen Ramirez Yolanda was an teacher, sister, mother and grandmother. She received her Masters of Teaching in 1989 from University of Houston.She went on to be a splendid teacher whom all her students loved and respected. She worked at several different schools in HISD until she retired after 26 years of service in 2005.She is survived by her brother Alberto Ramirez, her daughter Elizabeth Tran her husband Paul and their son Alexander, her son Andrew Medina his wife Priscilla their daughters Jennifer Nicole and Lexi Addison.Viewing service will be held Thursday August 4, 2011 from 2 – 9 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel 901 South Main, Pasadena, TX 77506. Mass will be celebrated Friday August 5,2011 at St. Pius Catholic Church at 10am. Father Chris Nguyen will preside. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale at approximently 11:30 am.
