Anita, born to Harvey and Carolina Culp on December 7, 1936, in Whittier, California, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones. From a young age, Anita was cherished by her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
In her sophomore year of high school, her family relocated to Avenal, where her father worked in the oil industry. During her senior year, Anita met James, a friend of her older brother. Their friendship blossomed into love, leading to their engagement and marriage on September 24, 1955, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Throughout their marriage, Anita and James lived in Avenal, Morro Bay, and eventually settled in Shandon. Their devotion to family was evident as they raised five children: Anita, Michelle, Warren, Jennifer, and Randy. Anita’s legacy continues with her nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Anita is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Anita and her devoted husband James. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
