Betty Jean (Reynolds) Clayton was born in June 1927 in Lordsburg, New Mexico, where she grew up on a cattle ranch. Betty was active in the Rainbow Girls, an affiliate of Masonic Lodge. After attending Western New Mexico University in Silver City, she moved back to Lordsburg and married her childhood friend Frank Clayton. They started raising their three girls on the Box M Ranch and then moved to Yuma, Arizona, where they built a cattle business together. Betty was always a very large part of the family businesses, from crew cook on the ranch to commodity broker in their brokerage business in Paso Robles during the 1980's. Betty was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi. She loved life and people and is remembered for her generosity to others. She will be missed by her daughter, Debi White and husband Tom, grandson Matt and his wife Jess, and great-grandchildren, Harper and Jonah; daughter, Suzanne Rava and husband Jerry; and daughter, Pam Wilken and husband Carl and grandchildren C.R. and Carly. Graveside services will be at Paso Robles Cemetery October 16 at 11:00am. Please make donations in her memory to either St. Jude Children's Hospital or International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation at IWMF.com in lieu of flowers. Arrangements under the direction of Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home, Paso Robles, CA.
