Betty Lou Geiwitz

Betty was a kind, warm hearted, loving woman who deeply cared about others. She loved to send cards to people who were sick, recuperating, discouraged, or just needed a touch of encouragement.

Betty graduated from El Monte High School in 1949. She got engaged to her handsome Marine- William Geiwitz Jr, on graduation day. They were married September 10, 1949. By the time Betty was 20 she had 3 little girls.

Betty along with her husband, accepted the lord as her savior when she was 20. Betty was a devout christian, following the word of God & his teachings. She loved sharing the love of Jesus with people she met. She loved being involved in bible studies and women's groups.

Betty was a stay at home mom until her youngest was 7. She then went to work outside the home. She began working as a kitchen worker in a local hospital. She wanted to learn more. She then worked in the admitting department for the same hospital. She took some courses and attended Stephens Business College. She received her accreditation and began working in medical records. She eventually worked her way up, changed employment and became Director of Medical Records. She remained in her position for 17 years until her retirement.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of love in the heart of her daughters Patricia (Steven) Gatson, and Connie Roach. Granddaughters Christine (Eric) Gatson -Michalak, Marilyn Gatson & Mary Roach. Betty's earthly departure following that of her loving husband William Francis Gewitz Jr, her daughter Mary Catherine Geiwitz and her parents Benjamin Franklin Krebs and Doris Rose Krebs.

A memorial service to honor Betty will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026 at 11:00AM at Christian Life Center- 1744 Oak Street Paso Robles, CA 93446.
