
Dee was born January 31, 1965 in North Carolina at Fort Bragg Medical Center to Dorothy M Henning Aud and Donald Frank Wilburn.
Dee graduated from Owenboro Catholic High School, graduated with a B.S. Magna cum laude in Biology and Chemistry from Brescia University, she went on the the University of Alabama and the University of Utah to study Molecular and Cellular PHD Programs.
During Dee's career as a Research Scientist and Senior Director her work in Molecular Cellular Biology is cited in dozens of medical journals, papers and books.
Dee was also musically gifted she played numerous instruments and was a member of a band. Dee had numerous hobbies and loved back packing, fishing and raising chickens.
Among Dee's endeavors she purchased and operated a successful cafe until Covid eventually caused her to close.
Dee is preceded in death by her mother, Dot Schartung, adopted father, William Aud, grandparents, Bernard and Georgia Henning, Lattie Payne and John and Cecelia Schartung.
Dee is survived by her stepfather, Jim Schartung, sisters, Patti (David) Bartley, Sonia (Darrell) McCarthy, Brandy (Jay) Sord, brothers, James (Mendy) Aud, Derek (Alissa) Schartung and Brad (April) Schartung and numerous nieces and nephews.
