

Dorothy Mae Henley passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 93. Dorothy was born in the town of Venice, California on March 30, 1932. She was a resident of Paso Robles, California living with her daughter Terri Ann Henley.
She was the youngest of a 5th generation born to the parents of George William and Velva Rose Nichols along with their four other children, Louis Nichols, Bernice Nichols – Klatt, Helen Nichols – Freeman and Evelyn Nichols – Ward, who have all passed before her.
Dorothy met her sweetheart John Bryan Henley Jr during high school and were married on July 1, 1950, and remaining together for 67 years. To their union was born 3 children, Linda Christine Henley – Wallace, Terri Ann Henley and Steven
Bryan Henley.
During her early marriage Bryan enlisted in the Air Force and traveled to Louisiana where Linda was born and shortly after moving back to California then Terri came along. Between her working career when the girls were young teens, Steven was born and Bryan was transferred to a systems analyst job to Hawaii for a couple of years. Her entire life was devoted to being a wife, mother and home-maker for her family. Her hobbies included the enjoyment of sewing, knitting, crafts and the outdoors, while spending time in their yards and flower gardens or swimming in her pool. She loved her various animals, especially Sammy, her long time tabby cat companion of 17 years who was with her shortly before her passing.
She was a wonderful, loving, caring, devoted, hardworking, beautiful mother and will be greatly missed in our hearts until we all are together again in heaven. Dorothy is survived by her three children, her seven Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren, and four Great-Great Grandchildren.
