

Born on April 26, 1934 in Santa Maria, CA to Plutarco & Juana Chavez. Herman lived a full and meaningful life. Living most of his younger years in Creston, Ca, he then graduated from Paso Robles High School in 1952. He moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1956 where he worked hard as a Civil Service Manager at Fort Ord for the U.S. Government to support his family. Herman then retired in 1989 and moved back to Paso Robles.
Herman was a devoted and loving husband. He married his high school sweetheart Betty 72 years ago. They have 3 children, Ken, Sue & Douglas. Herman will be remembered for helping those around him, his love of country music, NASCAR, and his passion for working with his hands!! Building wood furniture, leather art, automotive projects, home improvement & working in the yard.
Herman was preceded in death by his brothers Vicenté, Lupe, Caquito & Richard, Sisters Dionicia, Jennie & Maggie. He is survived by brother Tommy and his wife Betty.
Herman had 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great- Grandchildren & 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
