Karen Michelle Frey-Szasz

Karen Frey-Szasz Karen Michelle Frey-Szasz was born in Santa Barbara in 1969. She died on Christmas Eve in an automobile accident. She grew up in Atascadero and graduated from AHS in 1987. She moved to San Jose and received her Bachelor's degree and worked on her Master's degree. Karen worked as a Financial Analyst in High Tech. She then moved to Santa Monica where she continued working and recently moved back home to Atascadero. She is survived by the love of her life, her daughter Estella. She leaves her parents, George and Brenda Gehrke and Ron and Katie Frey; sisters, Rebecca Zemke (Jake) and Amanda Frey; brothers: Ronald Frey (Terry), Jeff Gehrke and Todd Gehrke (Naomi) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Karen went to spend Christmas with her beloved nephew Shawn D. Arthurs who left this earth last March. Karen will be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving heart. Services will be held on January 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Trinity Luthern Church in Paso Robles. A memorial fund has been set up in her name at Gofundme.com.
