

Micaela “Mickey” Amaro Othon was born in Zacatecas Mexico and came to the U.S. at the age of two years with her parents, Damasio Amaro and Juana Perez Chairez Amaro. They settled in Oxnard, CA where many of her relatives lived. This is where she met her husband Edward “Frank” Othon and they married in 1960. They lived in Oxnard until moving to Paso Robles in 1974. Mickey worked at CTS Keene in Paso Robles until she left that occupation to move on to her favorite role of being a grandmother. Being a very loving and caring person she made herself available to help many worthy causes in the Paso Robles community. Mickey was a lifelong member of the Paso Robles Booster Club, she helped in many activities at the St Rose Catholic Church and San Miguel Mission. She also provided meals for the homeless and other worthy causes. Being the youngest of ten siblings, she is preceded in death by her father, mother and grandmother: Lorena Maduena.
Mickey is survived by her husband Edward Othon, Daughters: Patricia Maduena (Arturo) and Michelle Chavez Othon and Son: Frank Othon. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous relatives.
