Rosemary Sczbecki

Rosemary Sczbecki passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in her home in Paso Robles. She was 92. A Celebration of her life will be held Dec. 19th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paso Robles at 4PM.

She is survived by her children John Sczbecki, Michael Sczbecki, Karen Skarda, Mark Sczbecki and wife Ronda, Linda Tedeschi and husband Eddie, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Sczbecki, and daughter-in-law Sheryl Jackson-Sczbecki.

Rosemary was born May 1, 1925 in Lincoln, NE. In 1938 the family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. Rosemary attended Colorado A&M (now CSU), where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics.

Rosemary married Theodore Sczbecki on Dec. 27, 1951. They settled in Arroyo Grande in 1961. Rosemary taught Kindergarten in the Lucia Mar School District for 25 years.

Rosemary and Theodore moved to Paso Robles in 1989. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing the piano, singing in choirs, golf, tennis and traveling. Her love of music inspired her get involved in a variety of musical activities, but her most enduring involvement was with the New World Baroque Orchestra, where she sang, played the piano and harpsichord, and was the secretary and mother hen for many years.

Rosemary gave generously of her time. She volunteered at Loaves & Fishes, Peoples kitchen, bell ringing for SA and making Braille books at TLC to name a few.

While Parkinson’s Disease was able to slow Rosemary down the last few years of her life, it couldn’t take the love from her heart or the smile from her face. She spent her final years with family, attending church and going to dinner movies and concerts with friends.

While Rosemary was a kind and loving person, she received much love and kindness in return. Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Dr. Berry, Dr. Yamagata, John Warren, the staff at Senor Sancho’s, and the Paso Robles community for all their love and kindness.

Rosemary will be dearly missed.

May Christ Jesus lift our spirit of sadness where Rosemary is concerned...She has risen with strength again! Her soprano voice that she took care of and loved so much, will once again be heard by He who blessed her with it! Pray and connect with the Love she felt for you, Family and Friends...Life never leaves us. I will miss you, Rosemary, but I am happy your human body is no longer a constraint for all the love within you that you longed to show but couldn't anymore. I will see you in any audience I sing to, dear Friend.
