Tim was born in King City, California on January 30, 1952. His parents were William and Josephine Koester. He was the oldest of four children. He attended King City High School graduating in 1970. In 1969 he started working as a Fire Fighter stationed at Lockwood, again in 1970 and 1971. He was hired permanently by CDF on September 1972 to the San Clara Regional Unit at Sunol. He became a Heavy equipment operator, driving bull dozer in May 1979, at King City Fire Fighting Station, San Benito-Monterey Regional Unit. Tim retired in December 29, 2003.
Tim married Barbara Patterson, February 10, 1973 in Paso Robles, California. Their first home was in King City, California. He had three children, Tiffany Anthony, Timothy William Koester, Jr., and Joshua Koester. He had six grandchildren. Tim and Barbara moved to Lockwood in 1977. He enjoyed ranching working cattle and helping his friends and neighbors. During his retirement Tim worked as a bull dozer operator for Terry Bishop construction.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, sons Timothy Koester, Joshua Koester (Darcy), son in-law Jon Anthony, mother Josephine Koester, siblings Kelly Koester (Kathy), Kimberly Payseno (Mike), Tammy Koester, grandchildren Tray Anthony, Jewel Anthony, Cort Koester, Kylie Koester, Chance Koester and Buster Koester, numerous nieces and nephews and his best buddy Tippy his dog. He was preceded in death by his father William Koester and daughter Tiffany Anthony.
