A bright and beautiful shining star came into our lives on December 21, 1969. Born on California's Central Coast, Trina grew up where the sun met the shore, and she carried that warmth with her everywhere she went. She would go on to graduate from Atascadero High School with the Class of '88 and quietly begin building a life rooted in the two things that mattered most: her faith and her family.
Trina loved life — fully and without apology. She found joy in adventuring and in the simple pleasure of being present with the people she loved. She and her husband, Jeremy, were passionate football fans — and when it came to the San Francisco 49ers, there was no wavering. Game day was sacred.
Trina was not a woman who sought the spotlight. She moved through the world with a steady, purposeful grace — private by nature, but unmistakable in presence. She had a particular love for purple — the color of royalty — and it suited her perfectly. Because Trina carried herself like what she was: a woman of virtue, dignity, and quiet strength. What gave her away every time was her smile. Radiant and genuine, it was the kind of smile that made a room feel warmer the moment she walked in.
For 25 years, Trina served with the California Department of Corrections — showing up with that same quiet strength and steady grace that defined everything she did. It was work that demanded resilience, and she gave it without complaint.
Faith was not simply a part of Trina's life — it was her life. She lived out the words of Proverbs 31 not as an aspiration, but as a calling. Her husband, Jeremy, could safely trust in her. Her children knew her devotion. Her worth, to those who truly knew her, was far above rubies — and she wore that quietly, the way only a woman of real character can.
At the heart of her world was her family. Jeremy, her devoted husband; her beloved children, Dre'Sean, Loryn, and Amber; and even her two loyal dogs, Winston and Winter, knew what it felt like to be truly loved by Trina. Her home was a place of warmth, and she made sure everyone in it felt it.
She was also the first to buy Girl Scout cookies — not because anyone asked, but because giving was simply woven into her character. After a long day, you might find her sitting down to a perfectly cooked ribeye steak, a comforting plate of spaghetti, or her favorite spot at Mr. Q's, savoring good food the way she savored everything she loved — fully and without apology. Big-hearted, loving, and strong in all the ways that count.
Trina had a favorite song — "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire. There is something beautifully fitting about that, because the song opens with the words, "Do you remember the 21st night of September?" — and Trina was born on the 21st. It is as if even the music knew her.
Trina left this earth on February 16, 2026, at 56 years young. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeremy Arthur; her children, Dre'Sean Sutton, Amber Malik, and Loryn Malik; her mother, Karolyn London, and stepfather, Eddie London; and her father, James Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Anthony Lloyd. She leaves behind a family and friends forever changed by her presence — and two dogs who will sit by the door a little longer than they should.
A bright and beautiful shining star — she always was, and always will be.
"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her." — Proverbs 31:10-11
