Benjamin Earl Grimes

Benjamin Earl Grimes, 88, of Pataskala passed away at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on February 19, 2013. Born on March 16, 1924 to the late Benjamin and Esther (Crawford) Grimes in Philadelphia, PA. During WWII, Benjamin was a submarine torpedo man while serving in the Navy. Retired from Columbus Coated Fabrics after 40 years. Member of the Columbus Submarine Base and never knew a stranger. Survived by children Randy Ellen (Don) Wagner, Benjamin James (Marcie) Grimes and Susan Yvette (David) Trowbridge, six grandchildren Tamzen Ann (Trey) Benfield, Donald Matthew (Lynn) Wagner, Aaron Michael Grimes, Bryson Edward Noel Grimes, Mikaela Lynn Trowbridge and Adam Christopher Trowbridge, great grandson Miles Everette Benfield. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann (Orr) Grimes and a sister, Lorraine.
