Wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Brenda Sue Branham (nee Stambaugh), went to Heaven Saturday, January 13th, while surrounded by her family. Brenda not only had an intense love for her husband of 54 years, Jack Branham, she was a devoted mother to Vikki (Bret) Hagans and Steven (Billie) Branham. She cherished her time with her grandchildren, Allison (Ben) Brown, Trent Hagans, Ben Branham, Ivy Branham and Ellie Branham. She was also great-grandmother to two precious little boys, due to Allison and Ben Brown this March.
Brenda was born August 12, 1945 in Wayland, Kentucky to Ervin and Susie Stambaugh. She touched many lives with her kindness in her 72 years with us. In fact, she was well known for her home-cooked meals, her collection of Precious Moments and Willow Tree figurines and her Easter Bunny cake. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Patricia Pennington, Betty (Bill) Wallen, Judy Williams and her brother James (Brenda) Stambaugh, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was greeted in God’s presence by her parents, her sister Vivian Stambaugh, Robert Stambaugh and Tom Stambaugh.
When Brenda wasn’t at home, she created many memories with family and friends in Florida. Her many joys in life include weekly bluegrass gatherings at the American Legion in Hebron, camping, traveling, and attending Hosanna Lutheran Church, where she and Jack are members. Brenda could be seen dancing and singing to the music of Elvis Presley. She also had an extensive collection of Elvis memorabilia.
Those whose life she touched may say their goodbyes from 4-8pm Thursday, January 18th at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St. in Pataskala, Ohio. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am on Friday, January 19th at the funeral home. Pastor Bret Rizzo will officiate. Interment will follow, where Brenda will be laid to rest, at Etna Township Cemetery.
