
Charlie A. Watson, age 84 of Alexandria, died Thursday September 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Covington, Tennessee on July 2, 1929 to the late Charlie Hess and Buelah Azilie (Bragg) Watson.
Charlie is preceded in death by his brother Thomas Watson and his sisters Carolyn Lowery and Margaret McKenzie.
He is survived by his wife Doris (Adkins), daughters Karen Black and Kathy Watson; grandchildren Angela Medors, Tracy Baros, Rachel Goodwin, Stephanie Beck, and Matthew Black; great grandchildren Shyanne Humker, Wade Humker, Scarlett “Rosebud” Baros and another great-grandchild is expected soon, and his cat Hershey.
Charlie loved to be in his workshop with his lathe, go fishing and raise vegetables in his gardens. He served his country during WWII in the US Army, and was a retired machinist with Ross Labs in Columbus.
Friends may call at the Kauber Sammons Funeral Home in Pataskala on Saturday September 28, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria on Saturday with Rev. Phil Manson officiating. Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Fund in his memory.
