

Clarence “Red” Edward Thompson, 79, of Pataskala, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 in hospice care at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1938 in Elkridge, WV, a son to the late John and Edith (Bickers) Thompson. Red owned and operated Apollo Vending and Repair for over 35 years in Groveport, OH. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy; children, Becky Reece, Grady Brett (Misty) and Debra; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jody, Bristol, Denver Brady, Shane Levi and Chance Grady; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Jaylyn and Liam; siblings, Wanda Hager and Frances Ann Dobbins and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Red is also preceded in death by his son, John “Butch” and siblings, John W., Katie and Nancy Carol. Friends may call from 11-1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Dr. Daniel Tipton officiating. Interment will be at Pataskala Cemetery.
