I was Delena's first cousin.  My mother was Aunt Nora's sister, Mabel. It has been a few years since I have seen Delena and most of my memories are from childhood visitations. Even as a child she was a very special person.I would say angelic.  I cherish the sweet memories I have of her.I am sorry for your loss and the loss of a devout Christian in this world.  I am so happy that such a wonderful person as she was that God has such a wonderful place for her to be now and forever. Knowing this makes it not only easier to say goodbye to her but we can say that we are extemly happy for her.

Thoughts and prayers for all of you. I met your Mother while visiing my husband at Chapel Grove. Toward the end they shared the same dinning table. I didn't know your Mother's interests and gift of writing prose, but I did enjoy watching her put puzzles together. She was very good at it. It would have been good to know her before she became ill. May happy thoughts give you comfort.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Delena's passing.  We know, from personal experience, the sorrow you all have gone through up to this point.  What a grief it is to see your loved one just slip away from you.  It has been described as "the long good-bye".  Remember the good times, the precious memories.  I remember being out at the farm and watching her work in her kitchen.  What wonderful memories I have of her and Uncle Don -- the rides in the farm wagon out to the pasture to see the cows.  What wonderful times those were!
