Doris A. Rowe

Doris Annette Rowe, age 90, of Pickerington passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born on June 11, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Doris and Fred Fickel. Doris was a faithful member of the New Horizons Community Church for 30 years and enjoyed being part of the Senior Saints group. She stayed busy as a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren. Doris enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, writing poetry, making the world’s tastiest dishes, and traveling the world. She was deeply patriotic and proud of the U.S.A. Doris is survived by her loving children, Donald (Susan) Rowe Jr. and Diane (Stephen) Elek; daughter-in-law, Kim Rowe; grandchildren, Steven Rowe, Alaina (Robert) Miller, Douglas (Maria) Rowe Jr., Heather Fant, and Heidi (Adam) Wallace; step-grandchildren, Melissa (Brandon) Mechtle, Holly (Chris) Kraut; great-grandchildren, Logan, Emily, Robert, Shane, Austin, and Avery; step-great-grandchildren, Rachel, Corben, Donovan, Kaden, and Dechlan; great-great-grandson, Carson; childhood friend of 82 years Mary Ann Barnette; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Donald Rowe Sr.; son, Douglas Rowe Sr.; and siblings, Fred, Beulah, and Jean. Family and friends may call from 11:30am – 11:45am Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213. A funeral service is to immediately follow in cemetery chapel at 11:45am, with Pastor Dave Lewis officiating. A luncheon will be held following the services at New Horizon’s community Church., 2100 Reynoldsburg New Albany Rd., Blacklick, OH 43004.
