Douglas "Doug" Ray Mullins

Douglas “Doug” Ray Mullins, age 78, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio with his family by his side. He was a quiet man of few words, but his love for his family was extraordinary! He was born in Louisa, Kentucky on April 20, 1943 to parents Eva Jarrell and Jay Mullins. He was the 3rd child of 8 siblings. Doug served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. He was married to Jane Marlene Gorby on April 10, 1970, and their marriage lasted a wonderful 51 years until his death. Doug is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Beatrice Mullins, Larry Mullins, Barbara Hewlett, Belva Miller and best friend, Kenneth Hewlett. Survived by his wife; daughter, Janel (Erik) Hancock; granddaughter, Ashley Hancock; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Bay; siblings, Janie McCown, Vicki Klausman and William Mullins. Services will be held at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Viewing will be from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021 with the funeral at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021. Afterward, he will be laid to rest at the Pataskala Cemetery.
