Edwin Dean Eckard

Edwin Dean Eckard, 94, passed away on June 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 20, 1929 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Homer and Elizabeth Eckard. Ed was a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and friends. His passion for drag racing, hunting, and his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered. He is survived by his children, Buddy, Terry, Mary (Dennis) Napier, Lynn Parman, and Steve, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Ed is preceded in passing by his beloved wife Mary Lou Eckard. He will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation for Edwin will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, Ohio 43062. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home. Edwin will be laid to rest in Pataskala Cemetery, 9545 Creek Rd, Pataskala, Ohio 43062.
