Eugene "Gene" Fields

Gene is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Melissa Roush and fiancé Jim Shriner, sons Ron (Pam) Fields and Steven (Lisa) Fields, grandchildren Brittany, Andrew and Allison, and his great- grandson Jaxon; sisters Alice Faye Couch and Phyllis Baker of Hazard, Kentucky, and his brothers Elijah “Jr” (Phyllis) Fields of Indiana and Carlos Fields of Canal Winchester. He is preceded in death by his sister Carol Colwell and his brother Virgil Fields.

Eugene was the former owner of Gene’s Shell, Exxon, Sohio and BP stations. He was a very generous man as he helped many people through his life, loved country music, especially George Jones. He was a fan of NASCAR, John Wayne films, but most of all, he loved his family and being with his grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home in Pataskala on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday November 8, 2013 at the funeral home at 1:00 PM with interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
