Gary Richard Green

Gary is survived by his son Adam Green, step son Brian Thatcher, niece Laurie, niece Patty, and nephew Tommy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Bonnie, and his special friend Mary Lynn Stoll in January 2025.

Gary was a proud retiree of Big Bear Stores in Columbus, Ohio and maintained contact with many of his friends there throughout the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling throughout the United States, and doing health research in his down time. He was an advocate for diabetes awareness and prevention.

Gary was an Army veteran who was stationed in Okinawa, Japan from 1971 to 1973.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Licking Memorial Hospital, and to his final caretakers and staff of Altercare Thornville and Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio. The family also thanks Gary’s neighbors Lyle and Wilma Moore in Pataskala for their support during his final years. Lasty, Adam sends a very special thank you to Tim Wong, Stacy Thatcher, Les and Kathy Stoll, and Tina Mason for their support.

A celebration of life will be held on August 30th from 9:30am to noon at:
