James Wayne Carter

James Wayne Carter, age 85, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, he was surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on July 27, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Arthur Carter and Velma Washburn. James was an avid fisherman, a skilled woodworker, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. James is survived by his loving daughter, Vicky (Todd) Kidd; grandchildren, Tammy, Kelly, Brandon (Katie), and Josh (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Dylan (J-Lyn), Matthew, Zachary, Jayden, Jacob, Gabe, Theron, Aniston, Maddox, Aiden, and Oliver; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Norma Carter; and daughter, Kathy Robbins. Family and friends may gather from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43230. A funeral service is to immediately follow beginning at 12:00 pm at the funeral home, Dylan Reider will be officiating. James will be laid to rest at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
