Born in 1944 in Hines, West Virginia, Mr. Dorsey was a retired truck driver known for his strong work ethic and devotion to his family. A man of faith, he loved Jesus and lived his beliefs daily. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his Aunt Helen Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Dorsey (Rice); his parents, Garnett Labon Dorsey and Icie Pearl (Gibson) Dorsey; and his brother, Billy Dorsey.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Dorsey and Dennis Dorsey; daughter, Christina Dorsey; grandchildren, Olivia (Harley) Bastian, Lillian (Dylan) Guest, and Kyrstin Poole; great-grandchildren, Maverick and Vinnie; brothers, Roy, Ernie (Sandy), Richard (Bertha), and Roger (Terry) Dorsey; sisters, Nancy Nickel, Judy Dorsey, Betty June Carr, Ruth (Darnell) Forbes, and Donna (Larry) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Daybreak Church, 1226 Pike St., Etna, OH 43018.
