James “Jim” P. Weber Sr., recently of Pataskala died April 3, 2024. He is survived by his four children, James Jr. (Lynette), Kathy Weaver-Clodwick (Mark), Michael (Kimberlee) and Lori Lyn; his seven grandchildren, Jerald, Robert (Patricia) Weaver, Angela (Jeff) Kennedy, Cora (Alan) Rogers, Kenneth (Kellie) Weaver, Kimberly Honaker and Benjamin Honaker; his nine great-grandchildren, Heather (Billy) Dyer, Jessica (Michael) Tortorella, Shawn Weaver, Joshua, Jarod, Matthew (Vada) Kennedy, Alyson Rogers, Mackenzie Rogers & Trevor Rogers and his great-great-grandchildren, Talon McDonald, Virginia Tortorella and Cameron Kennedy. He is also survived by his long-time companion, Elsie Amburgey. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Virginia; his parents, Nicholas & Blanche and four brothers, Jack, Dick, Bud and Bill. Jim was born on Feb. 21, 1929 in Youngstown, OH. He worked hard to support his family including many years with Drumstick Co. where he was instrumental in developing the process to coat the cone inside with chocolate to prevent sogginess. After retiring from Drumstick, he accepted a position at Clovervale Dairy & Foods in Lorain, OH where he developed and built food processing machinery. Jim was also an avid fisherman, owning and captaining a Lake Erie charter, One-of-a-Kind. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation hours.
