Jennifer (Jenn) Rachelle Stamper, age 53, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Kobacker House on March 14th, 2025. Over the past 15 months, she faced her diagnosis of a rare form of stage 4 sarcoma with incredible strength and resilience.
Jenn was born on October 7, 1971, to loving parents Denise Woods and David “Tig” Fravel. She grew up in Pataskala, Ohio, surrounded by a large family. Jenn was fortunate to have her mother and grandparents who were deeply devoted and involved in her life. Both she and her siblings, Jason and Leslie, were especially close to their grandparents whom they fondly referred to as Mimaw, Papaw, and Grandma Rosie. She formed numerous lifelong friendships, including her dear friend Carol, whom she met in third grade. A proud graduate of Licking Heights, she spent her entire education there, apart from a brief six-month stint at Liberty Christian Academy—where she was paddled more than once. From an early age, Jenn had a feisty attitude that both got her into trouble and led to great things. Whether she was standing her ground, pushing for what she believed in, or rallying others around a cause, her determination was a force to be reckoned with. That same tenacity and drive shone through in her leadership roles, including her time as the marching band field commander, a position which perfectly blended her love for the arts with her natural ability to inspire and guide others.
In her adult years, Jenn built a life filled with love, hard work, and deep connections. She met her husband, Bob, and together they created a blended family with his children, Bobby and Megan, filled with laughter. She was also a devoted mother to her daughter, Michaela, and took an active role in fostering her love of learning, quizzing her with Brain Quest flashcards even as a toddler and continuing to support her academic journey every step of the way. Jenn’s professional life was diverse, but she found immense joy in working with children through her various careers, particularly as a beloved school bus driver for Pickerington Local Schools. She was passionate about fostering connections, whether through her church’s small group, hosting parties, or simply sharing good food while watching a Michigan football game (Go Blue!). Over the years Jenn also enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs Bo, Tucker, and Cash. She was incredibly creative and crafty, always finding unique ways to make celebrations special.
Jenn had an adventurous spirit and cherished traveling to new places. Some of her favorites included touring Montana, exploring vibrant cities like New York and Chicago, and many large family excursions. She also embarked on numerous trips to Maine, highlighted by beautiful fall foliage, a Halloween visit to Salem, a Jaws movie tour, and multiple Patriots games featuring her favorite—Tom Brady. She often reminisced about a standout childhood beach vacation with her siblings, Mim and Pap, and great family friends, the Dempseys. Travel wasn’t just about the places she visited—it was about the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the stories she carried with her, always finding joy in the journey as much as the destination. These moments will live on as cherished souvenirs in the hearts of her friends and family.
Jenn’s enthusiasm for life was contagious—she had a unique ability to bring people together, lead with confidence, and create lasting bonds. She loved people deeply, and the warmth, laughter, and kindness she shared will echo in the lives of those who knew her for years to come. Above all, she loved Jesus, and she fervently hoped that her friends and family would know and feel his love as she did.
"Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”
