John Robert Wynd

John Robert Wynd, 72, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 28, 2026. He was born on January 31, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard Wynd and Marie (nee Easterling) Johnson, .

John was a longtime restaurant manager, spending most of his career with Ponderosa. In recent years, John was working as an Account Manager with Wesney Construction. In his free time John loved to play a round of golf; read Tom Clancy novels; serve as the grill master at family get-togethers; watch action and drama movies; and he especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandson.

John is survived by his loving children, Nathan “Nate” Wynd and Victoria “Tori” (Dakota) Kirtland; grandson, Logan Kirtland; sister, Veronica “Ronni” Cones; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in passing by his siblings, Catherine “Cathy” Henson and Walter “Walt” Wynd.
